Did you know cats can jump five times their height?

If cat parkour were a thing, it would have a primetime slot on the telly.

Unlike humans, domestic cats don’t require a trampoline to touch the skies, they just come hardwired with the ability to jump really high! Some cats can jump up to five to six feet, which is proportionally much higher than humans. In fact, some African wild cats can jump over 10 to 15 ft in their air and even catch prey birds mid-flight!

If your cat hasn’t shown off this party trick, that’s okay! Every cat’s jump depends on its height, size, weight, prey drive, and personality. For example, laidback cats might not be inclined to jump at all.
