About Best Friends Rescue QLD
ABOUT US
Best Friends Rescue is a non-profit group dedicated to saving the lives of dogs and cats in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and surrounding areas. BFR is a team effort, made up of a wonderful group of dedicated foster care providers and volunteers.
OUR DOGS
Most of the animals in the care of Best Friends Rescue have been rescued from Death Row at council pounds, while others have been surrendered by owners who, for whatever reason, can no longer keep the animal.
Whilst the animals are waiting for their perfect and permanent family to come along, the animals are placed into approved volunteer foster care homes.
All animals are re-homed, regardless of how long it takes to find the perfect owner. Best Friends Rescue has a strict NO KILL policy.
Before being re-homed with a loving family, all dogs are vet checked, de-sexed, micro chipped, vaccinated, and are free from fleas, intestinal worm and heart worm. All vet paperwork for these procedures are supplied to the new adoptive owners.
An adoption fee applies to each animal to cover only the basic veterinary procedures, and each adoption goes out on a 21 day settling in period, if the dog is returned in this period, and you’ve spoken to our trainer for assistance, and the dog is returned in good health, mentally and physically, and all their belongings and paperwork are returned, then we provide a refund less $50 admin fee. This is not a trial, but in case of any unknown or unforeseen circumstances.
