Hey friend, my name is Harvey Dee, but my Foster Mum calls me Havi. She says I’m a super friendly gentleman once I get to know you. I've taken on the role of elder statesman in my current abode.

The younger cats and kittens often need guidance from an experienced cat about ‘how to cat’ correctly. I get a little spritely when the rest of the clan are zooming about but prefer to lay in the sun rays or curl up on the lounge. I love to sleep on my Foster Mum's bed, but it does get a little crowded.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I’ve been living in a big family with lots of foster cats and kittens and we all love each other. I haven't met any tiny humans, but I'm sure that I would be OK, as long as they are gentle with me.

I've seen a couple of dogs in my time at my Foster Mum's house. Her son brings his dog over for visits and he's OK. He's a little dog and I give him a smack if I don't want to play. I could probably live with a cat-savvy dog with a slow introduction at first.

Likes / Dislikes
I love my wet food morning and night and have biscuits and water whenever I want. I also love my sleep and love the afternoon sun coming through the window, it is the best feeling ever.

My PURR-fect home would be with someone who will give me lots of love and affection. I would love to make friends with another cat if you have one, with the right introductions, of course!

Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.

Medical Notes: Harvey Dee has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) which is a virus that can affect his immune system, however, he can still potentially live a long healthy life. FIV is transmitted through deep bite wounds. Due to his FIV Harvey Dee will need to be an indoor only cat. FIV cats can live harmoniously with other cats however slow introductions are required to ensure they do not fight.

Harvey Dee suffers from Feline Idiopathic Cystitis (or Feline lower urinary tract disease FLUTD), which is a condition that can affect the urinary bladder and/or urethra (the lower urinary tract) of cats. Harvey Dee will need to be monitored for any signs of difficulty urinating, or blood in his urine. He may or may not require sporadic treatment for UTIs throughout his life, which may involve antibiotics and anti-inflammatories. Harvey Dee requires a prescription urinary diet, or wet food only with water added, and needs to be encouraged to drink water. It is recommended he continues to receive the supplement Cystophan.

Harvey Dee was exposed to Ringworm, which is a common fungal infection. He did not show symptoms and was given the all clear by the vet.
