About Mrs Fluffy Pants
Hi my name is Mrs Fluffy Pants!
I am a polite, sweet senior who loves to trill and talk to my foster carer at every chance I can get. My foster carer tells me that I have won the hearts of many of the volunteers at Strong Hearts with my resilient attitude, spirit and my sweet nature; I had a setback with my health when I first came into care, but I have bounced back and have been in a great place for a long time now. While I am happy, bright & healthy, I still prefer to laze around, quietly âsuperviseâ dinner being made and going for my short walks around the house when I have the energy. I also LOVE a scratch on the cheeks, near my tail and I do enjoy being brushed.
I would definitely like to be the only pet in the household but am also good at keeping to myself, so if you have another feline in your home and they're smart enough to give me space I am happy to get to know them and live cohesively with them-I can have a little bit of attitude if another cat has no concept of boundaries!
My ideal home is with someone who won't expect too much from me to begin with and will let me get comfortable and blossom in my own time. I would love a home where I could lounge in a sun puddle and watch the world go by & maybe stroll the halls at night when you're asleep-perhaps even get confident enough to sleep on the end of your bed!
I can be a great ear if you need someone to listen to your troubles and a quiet presence in your home who will always be happy to see you. Are you the perfect person for me?
**Please note, Mrs Fluffypants is strictly indoor-only for her safety and wellbeing, the only exception to this is if she has access to a secure outdoor enclosure.
Medical notes
Mrs Fluffy Pants has arthritis.
Adoption details
Regardless of the breed of animal you are looking to adopt, our adoption process is the same.
The first step of the process involves submitting an adoption application form. The form helps us understand a little bit more about you and your household and is used to figure out whether animal is the right fit for your household and what you are looking for, and also if your household is the right fit for the animal.
After a review process, shortlisted applicants will be contacted by one of our volunteer adoption coordinators usually by phone call or message. This is an informal conversation to discuss any questions we may have about the application and re-confirm any information provided. It is usually at at this point that we will organise a Meet & Greet with you and the animal.
It is a Strong Heartâs adoption policy to arrange a Meet & Greet with the prospective family and the animal before finalising the adoption. The Meet & Greet will allow the opportunity to visit the animal and have a pat and a play with them. The foster carer will tell you a bit about the animal's personality and what they have been like for the time theyâve been in their care. It is a great opportunity to ask the carer about the animals food, sleeping and any other health requirements.
If the Meet & Greet goes well on the day, in most cases you will be able to take the animal home straight away after payment of the adoption fee. All necessary paperwork including vet work history and transfer of ownership information will be sent via email within a few days unless otherwise specified.
