About Pearl
Pearl is a sweet lady, who needs a peaceful retirement after a rough life. Pearl only needs a little bit of daily exercise and does not need a large home, as long as there is somewhere for her to sunbake and people are around. She is quiet when inside and happy to spend her time snoozing on her bed in the sun and cuddling on the couch. She also likes to entertain herself by finding places to hide her treats and digging them up again later. It’s very cute! Pearl does not chew.
Pearl came from the pound heavily pregnant. She had an emergency caesarean and had 2 pups. It was a very stressful ordeal and took her some weeks to get into the motherhood role. Pearl’s pups have now been adopted and it’s time to find Pearl her forever home.
Pearl does need an experienced owner who can help build her confidence to navigate new situations. She is still very wary of strangers and, like most American Staffies, can be protective of her family and home. She needs a slow and positive introduction to new people and visitors. Pearl walks well on lead and enjoys quiet walks. She will bark loudly at people if she feels nervous or overwhelmed. She will also pull strongly towards some dogs. She would do best in a quiet environment and does not do well with cats or pocket pets.
To her new family, Pearl will be a loyal and affectionate companion, who will be happy to snuggle up on the couch with you and snooze the day away while you work from home. She has a smooth coat and weighs around 30kg
Suit Home Based Worker or Doggie Pal: Unable to cope alone and has shown signs of separation anxiety. Needs human company or other dog pals.

Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
