About Tilly - Dingo
Hi my name is Tilly, I'm a quiet, sweet, well mannered senior dingo who needs a predominantly indoor home (apartments will be considered).
I'm house trained, extremely quiet, walk beautifully on lead and I'm great in the car.
I'm 9 years old and was surrendered through no fault of my own when my family had to move to a state where dingoes are not allowed.
I can be timid at first with new people, but there's not a bad bone in my body and with patience and TLC it will only take me a couple of weeks to be your best friend.
I would prefer a home with out kids or teenagers only as I'm easily startled and like my quiet. I'm not needy, and quite content to be on my own if you need to leave me alone during the day while you go to work.
I need a home where I can be indoors. I'm a bit of a Houdini and so when you're not supervising me I should be inside the house.
I could live in an apartment if you can take me out 3-4 times a day for toilet breaks. Alternatively if your house has a paved courtyard or concrete and high fences (7 foot/2.2m) I can be let outside.
This is because I like to dig, I cannot be left alone in a backyard unless fully paved or concreted, or I will dig out.
I should be kept on lead when Im outside as I do not have recall and won't generally come back when you call me.
I can't live with cats, livestock, rabbits or birds but I am generally ok with other dogs.
I really hope there's a furever home out there for an old girl like me, with plenty of years still ahead of me.
Adoption details
Please note at this time pending legal advice we are unable to offer fox kit adoption to private owners.
Dingo Adoption:
1. Send an email inquiry with your name and contact details outlining your current living situation, pets and family members and anything else you think might be relevant, particularly what your house and yard are like. Remember our dingoes typically require an enclosure or modified fencing.
2. We will email you back adoption information and an application form to fill out and return to us.
3. If your application is approved- Come along to meet us and our dingoes at our Goulburn shelter or their foster carers' home and let us find the right furry family member for you. We can also come to you. We are happy to meet new prospective owners anywhere in NSW or the ACT.
4. Before you can pick up your new dingo you will also need to under a house/yard check and pay your adoption fee. No animals are rehomed unless their adoption fee is paid in full and a yard check has been completed.
