About Maya and Liam
*In foster care in Newtown, Sydney*
Bonded beauties Maya and Liam are seven-year-old Wolfhound/Bull Arab mixes looking for an amazing family they can cosy up with for their retirement years!
The first thing you're likely to notice about Maya is her world-class side eye. This sweet, scruffy girl enjoys getting out into the world and walks nicely on lead - though she'll happily spend most of her day lying around waiting for belly rubs (and telling Liam off if he dares to get in the way! She's definitely the boss of the pair).
Liam is basically a big doofus who LOVES attention! He also adores his regular walks, and is always thrilled to say hello to other dogs he meets on the street or at the park :)
Both Maya and Liam are well mannered in the car, and Maya knows her 'sit' and 'stay' commands.
Like all Maggie's pets, Maya and Liam are microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

OUR IDEAL HOME: ... will be in a reasonably quiet street (walking on busy roads makes Liam nervous), and have a backyard where we can romp around and play when we're in the mood! You'll enjoy spending plenty of time with us, and taking us out to see the local sights and socialise at the park. You'll also be patient with us when we meet new people, as it can take us a minute or two to feel comfortable.
OUR ENERGY LEVEL: We both love our daily walks, they keep us happy and healthy! Liam has lots of energy when he's out and about, and can be quite needy during quieter times - constantly coming up for pats and cuddles. Maya's more of a couch potato :)
OUR SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Hard to say - we haven't spend any time with kids since coming into foster care.
OUR SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: We love other friendly dogs! Cats won't be suitable companions for us, unfortunately.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/80677377750872. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
