About Peyton
Peyton is an affectionate sweet girl. She has come such a long way in the time we have had her. She walks well on lead and pays attention to the handler. She is nervous of trucks. She is social with dogs but does not like dogs in her face.
Walkers say, "Listens to instructions and can be distracted with pats and treats" "She now LOVES getting in the car as I’m sure she associates it with her offsite adventures. She walks on a nice loose lead and has no reactively to dogs offsite in fact she wags her tail and looks at them and I think she is wishing she could play with them. Peyton prefers places which aren’t super busy and didn’t seem that excited by the beach but loves bushwalks. Onsite she doesn’t react to any friendly non-reactive dogs and if a dog ignores her, she never barks at it however if a dog barks at her she does get scared, and barks back can lunge." She has a short coat and weighs 27.7kg.
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
Suit Full Time Worker: Not overly needy and can entertain itself. DR recommends play time, dog toys etc.
NEEDS RESCUE EXPERIENCE: These dogs need someone with previous rescue experience in rehabilitating traumatised dogs with an in depth understanding of and experience in building relationships with these kinds of dogs.
Medical notes
She comes desexed, C5 vaccinated, heartworm free and microchipped. Also included for the love and health of our dogs is a free Health and Wellness Voucher with our DR Vet.
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
