About Prince
Hi I’m Prince a Pomeranian x Chihuahua and I am 7 years and 2 months old and I’m a whole bunch of fluffy love!
I currently weigh 4.7 kgs.
I am now retired from breeding and the rescue has made sure to have all that pesky vet work completed so I can no longer make babies.
I love life and love being around my humans and my foster fur siblings, I really enjoy being part of a family unit.
My foster mum asked me to give her some notes I wanted my new family too know so here goes.
I love spending my time either sitting on your lap or following you around the house while you do everything. My foster mum says I’m like a piece of velcro always at your leg when walking and by your side when sitting - i just call it loving my humans!
If I had my preference i would very much like someone home thru the day, work from home , stay home parent or shift workers so that i have company - I am happy to share my attention with anyone in the home.
I am currently in a home with other fur siblings - I'm not really into play but I have made great friends with one of the older dogs here - I would love some company of another dog who is not in the puppy stage or a calm dog who is happy for me to velcro myself to them as well!
I love going for walks (short not marathons) but will assume that everyone wants to say hello to me and pat me - I've got no problems with that and think anyone out walking is just waiting for meeee.
I also absolutely love car rides – who wouldn’t – the wind in our fur - the company and spending time together – love it! I am a bit of a wriggler so a good harness is a must (but then I would be your fur baby so you would probably already want that)
I am cat friendly and have been known to go skinks hunting together with them.
My foster mum has said that I need to advise you that I am an ankle hugger - I will walk really close to your ankles and will think I know the direction we are going even if I have no idea.
I am defintely an inside dog with access to outside
I love to do zoomies on freshly cut lawn - I mean come on who wouldn't ?
I have previously lived with kids and kid friendly.
I am toilet trained
I would love to continue sleeping with my humans at night - I also love to have a few dog beds to choose from thru the day to nap on (and the couch of course) - I'm a little breed so I do like to have naps!
I have a lovely fluffy coat that does require regularly grooming. I came into care a bit matted but a good groom fixed that up!

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
