About Ollie
Say hello to Ollie, a jovial 5-year-old Jack Russell Terrier cross who's ready to add vibrancy to his new family's life. As soon as you meet Ollie, you'll be won over by his free spirit and boundless joy.
Ollie takes his walks seriously, always on the lookout for interesting smells and objects to investigate. Walking well on a lead, he will only pull a bit to sniff something that piques his curiosity. Imagine the pleasant strolls you can share with this little guy, in parks or around the neighbourhood.
Ollie is also a social butterfly, considering every canine he meets a potential playmate. He gets along well with other dogs and seems to hold no grudges against cats either! He's an outgoing, happy little man, always wagging his tail and showing his cheery disposition.
One of the things Ollie adores most is human companionship. He loves being around his people and is sure to charm everyone he meets with his passion for treats. He has received some basic training and expertly sits for treats most of the time, unless there's a particularly enticing smell around.
However, Ollie likes to protect his food when other dogs are present. So, it's best to feed him separately, allowing him to savor his meals peacefully. He may also echo the chorus when other dogs in the neighbourhood start barking, but it's just his way of joining the conversation.
In essence, Ollie is a loving and caring pet that is looking for a family that can give him lots of love, cuddles, and treats. With a home that showers him with love and provides some training, he is sure to shine even more brightly. Ollie's ready to be the sunshine in your life, are you ready for him?
Medical notes
At the time of desexing, Ollie had a denatl scale and clean. It was also noted that he has bilateral carpal valgus due to his breed. This requires no intervention but may be predisposed to arthritis later on in life
He passed his health check
Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
