About Josie
Meet Josie, a beautiful 4-year-old female Cavalier, whose endearing puppy-eyes are sure to melt your heart. Gentle and shy in nature, Josie is a quiet and timid girl who just needs a little tender, loving care to truly blossom.
Despite her initial timidness, Josie has shown resilience and adaptability. She's undergone a journey from her arrival as a scared little girl to gradually revealing her sweet, playful side with the people around her. This affirms the loyal, loving and patient friend you will find in her.
She's great company for a calm small dog and gets along well with her Cavalier friends, making her an excellent choice for a family with other small pets. Interestingly, she's also shown to be very accepting towards cats. That being said, having a quiet place of her own to retreat when things get overly busy will be beneficial for her.
Josie does seem to get a bit anxious in new environments and can be hesitant around new people. But with some time and patience, she learns to trust and finally lets her charming personality shine through. Once she warms up to you, she enjoys nothing more than being at your side, showering you with love and affection. Cuddling is one of her favourite activities, and she would love to cozy up with you during your favourite TV show.
She loves to be pampered with gentle pats and delicious treats. Enjoyment of food make training easier and more enjoyable for her, although she may need a bit more exposure to walking on a lead.
Rest assured, with a loving home, consistent and patient training, Josie will soon step out of her shell. Looking for a constant companion who offers unconditional love? Josie might just be the ideal addition to your family.
Medical notes
Vet has advised to monitor Josies teeth every 6-12 months. She passed her vet check
Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
