About Duke
Assisted Rehoming.
Large Male German Shepherd Dog 🐶
Dear Duke is an 8 year-old German Shepherd who has been very loved & cherished by an older lady, who now has gone into care ( Nursing home) 😢.
Duke is a gentle loving boy with his humans of all ages but sadly hasn’t been socialised with other animals .
Duke needs secure fences and to be allowed inside the home 💙
When walking, he wears a halti 🐾.
We really feel for this boy as he has no idea what’s happening & his guardian is doing her very best 💜.
There will be training offered to help this boy transition into his new home 🏡
Assisted rehoming
This is an assisted rehoming which means that Animals In Need Brisbane (AINB) will advertise, contact applicants and pass on applications that meet the the criteria to the owner who will make the final decision on the rehoming of the animal. AINB may also be requested to undertake an inspection of the successful applicants property to confirm safety and suitability.
There is no adoption fee for assisted rehomings but we do ask for a donation from the successful applicant (of their choosing) to AINB in recognition of the administrative and time costs incurred.
Please include all relevant information in your application, including fencing, other pets, children and ages etc.
Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
Please note all our cats are indoor cats only.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
