About Jet & Sophia
Jet is a male, cavalier x,3 yrs old, Sophia is a beagle x, 3 yrs old
These two little cuties have become inseparable during their time in foster care and we just can’t imagine a life for them now where they’d be without each other. Jet had a very stable but strict family until he was surrendered. Sophia arrived in her current foster home after having been adopted for 3 months but wasn’t a great fit with their cat as it would attack her when they were left alone.
Jet is an extremely loving dog and we feel he would not cope going into a new family without his girlfriend, Sophia, who he absolutely adores.
Sophia was a very shy and nervous girl when she came into foster care and wouldn’t really approach any human without a lot of patience and encouragement. She was always better with dogs but unsure of herself and just needed some love and freedom and support. Within a few weeks in foster care she became a much more confident, happy girl.
She’s now great off-lead and has no problem approaching any dog. She’s become the most playful dog and makes it her mission to get every dog playing. She’s a tough little nut and can handle any form of play with any dog. It takes her a little longer to get to know and trust humans but once she does she will not leave your side and has to cuddle up to you the closest!
They are both extremely well socialised and have never had a problem with any other dog so can be trusted in dog parks and off lead etc. Both dogs love their daily walks.
They would prefer to be rehomed with older children as Sophia is a bit nervy and Jet is unsettled around young children. Cats could be an option but no birds.
Both are obviously toilet trained, easy-going, non-destructive dogs who are fine to be left on their own - ideally no longer than 4/5 hours, and only after they’ve been walked.
If you would like to meet Sophia and Jet, please send us a detailed email to sasrescue@gmail.com about your family, lifestyle, etc.
Adoption details
SAS will arrange a "meet and greet" with our rescue pet and we offer a two week trial period if we feel that the rescue pet and the prospective family are well matched.
Most interviews will be held in the St George area of Sydney (Kingsgrove or Sans Souci)
