🌸🐱 PRESENTING MAEVE 🐱🌸

Nature
Maeve has the sweetest meow, the loudest of purrs, the softest fur and the greatest obsession with toys. She loves spending time close by and will gently suggest the pats and head scritches she so desires. Whilst super friendly and affectionate, she can be very nervous of loud noises and sudden advances. It will take her some time to warm up to a new environment and human companions, but your patience will be well rewarded.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
Maeve has been getting along nicely with the calm and friendly cats in her foster home, but may not be suited to a home with dominant personalities due to her submissive nature.

She has not met any dogs while living in her foster home and may not appreciate their sudden advances. A slow introduction would be required. She would be quite happy as an only fur-child.

She has not been around children whilst in foster care, and her timid nature suggests that she may be best suited to a quiet household with older children who can respect her space.

Likes / Dislikes
You will need to provide a wide variety of toys for Maeve to play with. She likes to delicately select her toy of choice from the pile and will carry it, chase it and present it to you as a trophy. Later, you must learn to like the activity of retrieving lost toys from under the bed. Don’t be afraid to join in on the fun with some wand toys to see some of Maeve’s acrobatics.

Maeve does not like to be picked up, held or carried. If you reach down to pat her she will run away, but when allowed to come to you on her own terms she is full of love and affection. She just loves those chin scritches and will keep coming back for more!

Being a little bit of a nervous ninnie, Maeve loves the option of a high vantage point or a hidey hole to make her feel safe. She is especially fond of bird watching from a high window.

My PURR-fect home would be a quiet indoor environment where she can feel safe and secure. Her humans will need to be patient while she settles in and gains her confidence.

Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.
