About Tweety
Tweety is a timid girl until she knows you. She is very food motivated so it does not take long to trust. She came in with Sylvester, but we have found over time they no longer have much to do with each other as their confidence has grown. She is social with other small dogs. She loves to play and explore garden areas. She needs need gentle slow handling. Tweety is nervous of being picked up until she knows you. She was extremely matted when she arrived but is now getting used to grooming with an experienced groomer. Since being with us she has got used to lots of attention and handling and she is becoming really affectionate. She has a low shedding coat that needs regular clipping. Tweety weighs 7.7kg.
Apartment Friendly: Could cope in an apartment environment. Regular walks or use of an artificial grass patch is suggested.
Suit Full Time Worker: Not overly needy and can entertain itself. DR recommends play time, dog toys etc.
Low Shedding
NEEDS RESCUE EXPERIENCE: Many people grow up with, or own a dog who has had no bad experiences in life. A dog who is confident and well rounded. However, many rescue dogs have not been as lucky in their lives.
These dogs need someone with previous rescue experience and an in depth understanding of and experience in building relationships with these kinds of dogs.
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
