About Thunder
Thunder has a gentle, loving and loyal personality he enjoys going to new places, being at his humans feet and of course, being a lab, he really likes food!
He walks well on the lead and enjoys exploring all the smells and sights at his own pace. He doesn’t act his age though!
He has recently completed a two week campervan trip following the Silo Trail in Victoria. He mixed well with other human travellers, although he can react to other dogs if they are aggressive or too interested in him, he doesn’t want to risk being knocked.
He is a definite no to cats or pocket pets such as bunnies. He came from a household with children but we believe he would suit an older gentler household.
He is happiest when his person is by his side. He uses his dog ramp proficiently and he currently sleeps either on the couch or his foster carers bed.
He enjoys his two meals a day and does not appear to be aggressive around food, although I believe he has been starved in his previous life before coming into care.
He is toilet trained and does use the doggy door but only with lots of encouragement, as his rear legs are quite stiff.
He is a beautiful smiley boy who longs to give all the love he has to a new family and to eat the tatiest of treats, sniff all the sniffs, ride in the car and go swimming!
If I sound perfect for you, please complete the short adoption application form in the attached link, please note this is the only way your application will be considered: https://homelesshounds.com.au/adopt/dogs
