About Pixie
Pixie is a sweet long-eared 6 month old girl, with loads of energy and a cheeky personality. Part Staffy, part Frenchie, she loves nothing more than snuggling on the couch beside you. Unless you count mealtime, because she definitely loves to eat!
When she’s not snuggling, Pixie is a keen explorer so you’ll find her poking around the backyard and playing with chew toys to keep herself busy. She gets the early morning and afternoon Zoomies like clockwork, and is a joy to play with.
For a pocket-sized dog, she does like to play rough so young kids or other small animals in the house may not be her cup of tea.
Being a young puppy, she's a chewer so she needs a collection of chew toys to keep her entertained (and to keep your home in one piece). Pixie has no regard for personal space - the couch, dining table, even the shower are all areas she'll be right beside you. A number of mornings were interrupted by Pixie making her way into the shower wagging her little tail.
Pixie is a sweet-natured girl who will be your number one companion and shadow wherever you go.
MY IDEAL HOME: I'm quite relaxed during the day and happy to laze around, but I don't really like being left at home alone all day. I have a bundle of energy that I need to exert so regular walks and daily play are essential. I'm an explorer so would love if I had a safe, high-fenced yard I can adventure around in
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I have loads of energy in the morning, and in the afternoon and will need lots of regular daily play and walks to help me burn it off. However for the majority of the day, I love to snuggle up beside you (or on your lap) while you watch TV on the couch.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Being a young, energetic puppy I can play a little rough so kids under the age of 12 may find me to be a bit rough for them.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: My foster family had a chocolate labrador who I love and really got on with, but my rough play was sometimes too much for her. While I'm not aggressive to other dogs, I might be better suited to a family without any other animals whilst I continue to learn how to 'tone down' my enthusiasm.
Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form.
For Cats: https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870
For Dogs: https://form.jotform.co/80677377750872
Please use these links rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
