About Caramello
This cool dude is ready to find his next adventure.
Caramello is the ultimate adventure buddy and playmate. He is always up for anything whether it be spending time outside on a walk or hike to a dip in the water to keep cool. Heck he’s even up for just a cuddle on the couch with you.
Caramello just loves to be involved in everything, being extremely affectionate, constantly wanting cuddles and to be near you. Sometimes he thinks he is a lap dog, wanting to curl up in your lap.
He is your second shadow, always following closely around the house.
While in care he has been good around children and other dogs. He gets along well with his foster brother and is always up for a play or nap with him. Sometimes barking at him for attention to play rough and tumble. He also loves to just sit on his bed to play with his rope toys.
While he is a quick learner we do suggest further training, he is doing well with walking on lead and toilet training (successful if he has access to an open door/doggie door).
He has also been crate training, sleeping through the night in the family room. Caramello has learnt to sit and is working on not jumping up on people. He will do just about anything for a treat too which will help with further training.
Caramello is a sweet and friendly puppy. Still learning the city life, he can be a bit nervous and timid when he comes across something new and a little scary to him, but quickly takes it all in his stride.
If your keen to continue training with this guy, head out on adventures with him and just enjoy life then fill in and application. The successful person will have the opportunity to meet him.

* Please note, this is not a contract or agreement of any kind, only expression of interest in our dog. We will not conduct any meet and greets unless this form has been filled out and submitted for review. Only approved applicants will get to meet our dogs. *
Once approved you will be contacted by a team member and can organise a time best suited to meet with the carer and dog. If you have other dogs they must also be at the meeting, including any children in the immediate family.
Before applying please consider the following:
• real estate approval if renting
• any fencing repairs that may need to be done
• outside shelter
• breed knowledge
• do you have enough time for the breed of dog you are applying for?
If you and the dog get along, you have to option of taking the dog on the spot (at this time you will need to pay the full adoption price and sign the adoption agreement) You will then get a 2-week trial with the dog, during this time should things not work out you are to return the dog to Dusty Paws Dog Rescue. You will then receive a full refund; less $50 admin fee within 7 business days of the return of the dog.
