About Murphy
Handsome boy Murphy is now ready for his next adventure with his new family.
He is still a young boy and as such needs both mental and physical stimulation. He enjoys finding food in his puzzle toys, around the yard and his licky pot.
Murphy would suit a family who is active or has the time to do fly ball, diving, agility etc with him.
He does however need to be taught to calm and rest as he will go all day if allowed.
He enjoys playing fetch and is getting better at bringing the ball back. He will play with just about anything, balls, rope toys, bubbles, his herding ball, even a bucket 😅.
Murphy also loves playing in water, either chasing the hose around, playing under the sprinkler or even splashing around in the kiddy pool.
Further training is a must for Murphy, he is such a smart boy and food motivated. The world is at this boys paws and he’s looking for someone to share it with.
Murphy is best suited to a home with no cats, in saying that he is getting better with them in care but will need supervision.
He is crate training and sleeps throughout the night without an issue. He is also toilet training still but doing very well at that too.

* Please note, this is not a contract or agreement of any kind, only expression of interest in our dog. We will not conduct any meet and greets unless this form has been filled out and submitted for review. Only approved applicants will get to meet our dogs. *
Once approved you will be contacted by a team member and can organise a time best suited to meet with the carer and dog. If you have other dogs they must also be at the meeting, including any children in the immediate family.
Before applying please consider the following:
• real estate approval if renting
• any fencing repairs that may need to be done
• outside shelter
• breed knowledge
• do you have enough time for the breed of dog you are applying for?
If you and the dog get along, you have to option of taking the dog on the spot (at this time you will need to pay the full adoption price and sign the adoption agreement) You will then get a 2-week trial with the dog, during this time should things not work out you are to return the dog to Dusty Paws Dog Rescue. You will then receive a full refund; less $50 admin fee within 7 business days of the return of the dog.
