Introducing Chewie, a charismatic combination of Maltese and Lhasa Apso. At 8 years young, weighing in at 10 kg, this handsome male is just small enough to fit into anyone's lap. He's desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and wormed, making him entirely ready for his new home.
Chewie's ideal new family would be one with a secure fenced-in area for him to explore safely. This spritely senior loves to survey his territory during the day and appreciate the comfort of a warm, cosy bed at night. Despite his age, he still has a bouncy enthusiasm that makes every tail wag a joy to see. Located in Arana Hills, this little fellow can't wait to bring his joyous energy to his new family.
Chewie only has one eye but donāt let that stop you from loving all of him.
Although he's untested with cats, Chewie gets along fantastically well with other dogs. His social and sociable nature would make him a lovely companion for another dog looking for friendship. Chewie is a welcoming presence, and with children over ten years old, he's a complete sweetheart. This child-friendly disposition, combined with his adoring nature, makes him a wonderful addition to any family.
The adoption fee for Chewie is $895. While this might seem like an investment, considering the endless love, loyalty, and companionship that Chewie has to offer, it's a small price to pay.

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Hereās some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
š± Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the petās bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
š¾ Details about your family
š” Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
An adoption fee applies to each animal to cover only the basic veterinary procedures, and each adoption goes out on a 21 day settling in period, if the dog is returned in this period, and youāve spoken to our trainer for assistance, and the dog is returned in good health, mentally and physically, and all their belongings and paperwork are returned, then we provide a refund less $50 admin fee. This is not a trial, but in case of any unknown or unforeseen circumstances.
