George is a 3 year old, male Kelpie X

Georgie boy is a very affectionate doggo who loves love. He is sweet-natured and loves to give kisses whilst receiving his pats. George is still working on learning to respect personal space boundaries but is a very quick learner. George would prefer to find a home that has another friendly dog or pup but would be okay as an only dog. He is incredibly gentle with his foster siblings and doesn't have any destructive behaviours. He can take a while to stop fidgeting after he's been excited but a few slow pats or an ear massage and George is put right at ease.

George is very responsive to a few commands like "no" and "sit" but can forget his manners at dinner time. He is working hard at his training and is demonstrating to his foster parents that he is one smart cookie. George hasn't been out of the pound for long so he still has things to learn but he is very eager to please his humans. He is not a vocal boy but does jump up a little when first greeting new people. He has no food aggression and is reward motivated, whether it be a treat or a good pat.

George is well socialised with puppies and other adult dogs. He is untested with cats and pocket pets. George would be okay in a family with older kids or supervised with young kids to ensure he doesn't accidentally knock them over due to his eager affection.

George would love to be allowed inside his forever home when his humans are around but is okay being an outside dog if necessary. You will need secure fencing.

George's adoption fee is $500. He has been treated for fleas and worms, and is desexed and microchipped. He is in foster care in Newcastle area, NSW.
