About Blaze
Blaze such a human oriented husky! He is more tolerant of handling and touching than most I have seen. Blaze came to us when his owner wanted to put him down. He came in with a big plate protruding through the flesh of his front leg. It appears he has been living with this for many, many months and his body was conditioned to the pain. We have taken him to a specialist surgeon and Blaze had the plate and screws removed and he has recovered well.
He still needs some post op checks but so far, our vets are very pleased with the healing. He is an amazing happy dog who still enjoys walks, splashing through water and lots of human company. He is social with other friendly medium sized dogs but is not suitable around cats or pocket pets due to his prey drive, typical of his breed.
He has a coat that sheds and needs a lot of brushing and he weighs around 18kg.
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
Suit Full Time Worker: Not overly needy and can entertain itself. DR recommends play time, dog toys etc.
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
