Meet Ruby, an intelligent and loving six-year-old German Shepherd, who is ready to bring her vibrant personality to a new family. With a keen sense of adventure, Ruby thrives in open spaces, exuding agility with her ability to scale over 1.2m fencing, making her unsuited to an acreage setting especially if there is livestock. Good fencing is a must for her.

Well-behaved and good-natured, Ruby is fond of people and children. She currently lives harmoniously with two little ones, demonstrating her ability to blend seamlessly into a family environment. Trained in basic obedience and impressive on a lead, Ruby is a terrific walking companion, however she is reactive to strange dogs.

It's important to mention that Ruby hasn't been tested with other small animals or cats and she still retains her instinctual drive, which has previously led her to chase sheep. Hence, she might fit best in a home without such pets.

Ruby's ideal family would have previous experience with German Shepherds, understanding their unique blend of loyalty, intelligence, and love. She is hopeful for a new family who can offer her the time, commitment, and the companionship she so richly deserves.

Please note that while applications from Queensland and Victoria are welcome, families from these areas will need to be able to drive to Gundaroo to meet Ruby. If for any reason she doesn't fit with your family, you'll have the responsibility of returning her to Sydney or assisting with rehoming from your location.
