About Skylar & Astro
Say hello to Skylar and Astro, the dynamic duo of calm and affectionate canine companionship. This bonded pair seems to have successfully navigated life's twists and turns together, and they're searching for a peaceful home to enjoy the retirement life.
Astro, the typical friendly lab, loves everyone he meets, always greeting with a wagging tail, warm eyes, and a friendly nudge. His happiness increases tenfold when he's showered with affection, making it no surprise that he'll quickly become your loyal friend.
Skylar is just as sweet and gentle yet carries a hint of shyness. It may take a slow, gentle touch for her to open up, but once she does, you'll find an extraordinary friend for life. They came from the pound in a pretty sad state.
Skylar's coat still needs some attention, but she's accepting of both bathing and grooming, proving that she trusts those who treat her kindly.
Both dogs are in good health, with Astro weighing around 29kg and Skylar tipping the scales at 25kg. They aren't overly needy, and they entertain themselves, making them perfect companions for a full-time worker. Playtime with toys and regular walks keep them happy and active. Their loving duo would make a house feel like a home.
Skylar and Astro could also adapt well to apartment living, provided regular walks or the use of artificial grass. Their calm, low energy personalities would enjoy a quiet environment where they can relax and feel safe.
With Skylar and Astro, expect a fulfilling journey filled with friendship, trust, and lots of tail wagging. They are looking forward to spending their golden years in the comfort of a loving home, bringing joy and serenity to their people's lives.
Suit Full Time Worker: Not overly needy and can entertain itself. DR recommends play time, dog toys etc.
Apartment Friendly: Could cope in an apartment environment. Regular walks or use of an artificial grass patch is suggested.
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
