About Bel
Meet Bel, the four-legged marvel with ears as big as her heart! At 4.5 years old, this female shepherd X ridgeback mix is a true testament to resilience and the boundless capacity for love.
Bel's journey began in 2019 when she found herself in a shelter, abandoned and bewildered. As fate would have it, her breeder, in a callous act of disregard, cast her aside because of what they deemed a "defect." It turns out, Bel's ears were simply too big, and her litter didn't fit the breeder's vision of perfection. But, as the saying goes, one person's defect is another person's treasure.
Now, after losing her home once again, Bel is on a quest to find a forever family – one that will appreciate her unique charm and love her for the gentle giant she is. Despite the hardships she's faced, Bel remains an absolute beauty, both in appearance and spirit.
Step into Bel's world, and you'll discover a dog with a heart as vast as the open sky. Her eyes, pools of warmth and intelligence, reflect the resilience that defines her. A gentle giant in every sense, Bel revels in the simple pleasures of life, with a penchant for a good cuddle that could melt even the coldest of hearts.
But there's more to Bel than meets the eye – this girl is not just a pretty face. With a brain as sharp as her ears are large, Bel is an intellectual powerhouse. Commands are not challenges but invitations to showcase her brilliance. Sit, stay, wait, drop, fetch – she's mastered them all with a swiftness that leaves onlookers in awe.
And oh, the joy of playtime! Bel's eyes light up with enthusiasm at the sight of a hose, ready to engage in a playful dance with water. It's a sight to behold, a reminder that even in the face of adversity, there's always room for fun and frolic.
What Bel truly craves, though, is love – the kind that wraps around her like a warm blanket. She yearns for a family that sees beyond the perceived "defects" and recognizes the treasure that lies within. A sweet soul, Bel is a living testament to the transformative power of love and compassion.
So, if you're in search of a canine companion who will not only respond to commands with grace but also fill your home with an abundance of love and cuddles, look no further than Bel. She's not just a rescue dog; she's a living embodiment of resilience, intelligence, and unwavering affection. Welcome her into your heart, and you'll find a loyal friend for life – ears and all.
Medical notes
Vaccinations, desexing, microchips, and heartworm checks are provided by the rescue.
If there is outstanding vet work, the rescue will organise it with one of their partner vets. If the adopter would like to take over the vet work at their own cost to their own vet, this can be transferred.
