About Tori

Tori is 3.5 years old and is looking for a very special family that can help her feel safe and loved.
Tori’s early puppyhood was quite traumatic; she has been in foster care for a long time but is still a very nervous and shy dog.
Tori is very shy when meeting new people, she must get to know you on her own terms, her instinct is to run away and hide in the home when she is feeling unsure. Tori will need a quiet home without too many visitors so that she can feel safe and come out of her shell in her own time. Tori is not suited to a home with children, they scare her, and she would rather avoid them.
Tori has been well socialised with other animals and gets along well with other dogs. Tori’s confidence seems to skyrocket when she has a confident doggy friend around her, she loves to play and chase and loves meeting new dogs out on walks. Tori’s new home must have an existing male dog, this will help Tori to settle in and bring her confidence out, helping her to bond with her new family.
Tori has grown up with cats and for the most-part gets along well with them, she could go to a home with an existing cat provided slow introductions were undertaken.
Tori has always been an inside dog; she can be a bit of a princess and loves to snuggle up on the couch with her humans. Once Tori feels comfortable with those around her, she is a very goofy, loving, and affectionate little girl that gives lots of kisses and cuddles.
Tori is currently on medication to help manage her anxiety, she needs an understanding home that is committed to her ongoing treatment plan to ensure she is a happy and healthy dog. Tori thrives with enrichment to keep her busy and will need plenty of stimulation in her new home to ensure she doesn’t make her own fun.
Tori knows her basic commands and walks beautifully on lead, she is also crate trained.
This beautiful little girl is terrified of the world, loud noises, sudden movements and new people all scare her, yet we have seen how sweet and affectionate she can be when she feels safe and loved. The right home for Tori is and understanding and patient home that will let her do things at her own pace, she needs to be given plenty of space and time to come out of her shell.

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
