About Lemmy
Please consider a black dog.. they get over looked alot and are the last to be adopted.
they are beautiful and deserve a forever home too.
This handsome boy is Lemmy raced as (That’s A Problem)
Greetings.
I am Lord Lemmington.
Those whom I consider friends call me Lemmy.
I am a quiet and retiring gentleman of 4. Dressed exquisitely in a tuxedo and white gloves.
I am seeking a household to make my own. I would like this household to be a quiet one, as I do not like things too lively. I find too much noise simply too stressful and I will retreat to a quiet room away from the noise if there is too much activity in the house. As such I would prefer a house with no children under 12.
I currently live with a vivacious young lady and an elderly gentleman and while I am happy to live with another dog I am also quite content on my own. I can be particular about my friends and would not like to live with anyone too boisterous.
I can possibly learn to live with a quiet and confident indoor cat, I have seen a few and they don’t interest me, but I do not currently live with one.
My manners are exceptional. I have never once messed inside, I do not steal things (other than paper receipts, which I have a particular preference for), I do not eat things I’m not supposed to and I do not climb on furniture. So as you can see, I am quite close to perfect.
One thing that must be considered is that I do not share my food with other dogs. I would prefer to enjoy my meals in quiet seclusion as I can become protective of my dinner. People are fine. People bring me more food.
As I like to be a well-kept sir, I love to be brushed it’s one of my favourite activities.
My leash walking is sophisticated and graceful. I do like to go for walks, but I don’t like walking in loud areas. Quiet walks through the parks and back streets are my preference.
I do not like sudden loud noises and as such would need someone who understands this and is willing to continue helping me with these issues. I am working on bettering myself in this area and have learnt to tolerate vacuum cleaners, trucks, and cars but sometimes I do start at the toaster. I am ok with thunder, though the really loud bits make me jump, so long as I have lots of pats and treats I don’t mind too much though. Fireworks are the same, I did very well at New Year surprising everyone.
I do struggle meeting new people as I am so shy. Please if you decide to come and meet me do not take offense if I hide behind my foster mum. Once you are my friend I will love you with all my heart.
I am very intelligent. I do not have to be told things twice. I only tried to run out the front door once, now I wait until I am told I can go out and then I walk out calmly and politely. However because I am clever I do tend to overthink things. Then I can get worried. But show me what I am supposed to do and I will do it happily.
So if your house is missing a little sophistication, please contact us and arrange for me to come and fill that hole. You won’t be disappointed.

Adoption details
All BTG greyhounds are Desexed, C5 Vaccinated, Wormed & Heart Worm treated prior to adoption.
They have been fostered for a minimum of 8 weeks to allow maximum training and preparation for home life.
A post adoption trial period of 4 weeks is available to help families decide if the greyhound is the right one for them.
We also offer Foster to Adopt options for those who love the idea of teaching a greyhound in their home with the view to adopt it once it has "graduated" to Home Life status. This is a wonderful experience, to watch it blossom in your own home with your guidance and love. An ideal way to make sure this is the perfect dog for you.
