Hi there, I'm Chief, a black and tan 3 year old Kelpie male, and I'm here to be your loyal and loving furry friend!

I'm a friendly and energetic boy who adores playtime with toys and staying active. I'm smart and food focused which means I can learn new tricks quickly with the right guidance! I understand sit, paw, down, stay and come however I can get quite distracted with other dogs around so will need a bit more work on my recall while out on walks. When it's time to rest, I understand bed and will happily take a break.

I'm toilet and crate trained and at night — you can count on me to sleep peacefully in my crate without a peep. Plus, I'm considerate and won't jump onto your furniture. I love to snuggle and have a cute face that’s hard to resist.

I'm working on improving my behaviour when I get a little too excited or want to jump up to say hello. With your guidance, I'll quickly overcome these tendencies and have improved while in care.

I’m making progress in walking on a loose leash, though I still get excited while out and about, so continued training will benefit me in this area. I would do well in an only-dog home with people who are home more often than not.

My ideal home is with an active family who is experienced with working breeds and makes me a part of their daily life and is committed to continue on with my training. I would not be suited to a home with cats or small pets.
